Joel Davenport is the author of Image-Bearers in a Digital Age, a theological framework for artificial intelligence. His writing brings together two parts of his life: building AI systems and serving the local church.
Joel has built production machine learning systems since 2017. As Director of AI Transformation at a global software company, he leads its AI architecture practice, helping organizations turn new technology into working systems.
He holds an M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in machine learning from Georgia Tech and an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Liberty University. He serves as a deacon in his local church and teaches on faith and technology.
He writes about Christian faith and artificial intelligence on Substack and lives in Noblesville, Indiana.
